I want to know from Corolla owners why this car makes it so wanted by many, specially being one of the cars that gets stolen most. I´m more an SUV fan, but 4 of my friends have Corolla´s One of them has changed from Corolla to Corolla for years and years... But I think she is too in love to be actually a little more objective about her car choices (I´m also subjective when it comes to RAV4)
What did make you decide to buy a Corolla? Why it is so special? Anyone can comment on this? Thanks

I've had my Corolla for four years and I love it.

Overall the car if perfect if your looking for an affordable and reliable sedan. The car gets very high gas mileage and is inexpensive to repair. If you maintain it properly it can last a long time.

Most people who buy small cars want fuel economy and reliability. In that sense, it doesnt get much better than a Corolla.

It is the most stolen car? I didnt know that! Well it seems like a popular one and would be easy to overturn parts, car thief wise. Interesting thread!

Wow. I didn't know it was most stolen, either. I agree it must be for the parts, though. But, then, I had my Corolla for ten years and never needed to replace any parts. :)
For me, it was perfect. Great gas mileage, reasonable priced, roomy interior as well as a HUGE trunk, and it's still a small very easily maneuverable car. I always loved being able to park ANYWHERE.
Plus, I think Corollas are just cute cars. They're great all around!

The Corolla is the best-selling compact car, so it makes sense that it would also be the most stolen.
The more of them there are on the road, the more likely it is that one of them will get stolen.

They are workhorses! I finally sold my old onw when it had over 200,000 miles on it, and I know several people who have driven them more than 300,000 or 400,000 miles without any major work. Of course I had to have some moderate stuff done, but far cheaper than buying a new car.

Wow, that is longevity! We had a thread here somewhere where people were talking about how many miles they had on their toyatas. That could be a top contender!

Yup, it drives nice, it lasts forever, and they look good. My family is on our second Corolla. First one lasted 12 years, around 200,000 miles, and could've been repaired, and probably would've still been running right now. We just decided to get a new one, though.

I didn't know that it was the most stolen car either!!! But I personally love the Corolla (well I grew up with all toyotas because my aunt's father owns a dealership) but anyways, it's the perfect size for me. I love smaller cars (but my dad didn't want me having a convertible) so I compromised...it's small, it looks sporty, has great mileage and it's very reliable. I wouldn't trade my corolla in (accept if one day I can afford that luxury sports car haha...but until then, my corolla is exactly what I wanted and need. Plus I like that I can have 5 people in my car comfortably and not have to squeeze...oh and the trunk is huge I can fit so much stuff in it! LOL.
