hello...i am not an "off-road" enthusiast pre se...but i plan to take my stock 95 4runner to some very remote desert places......i will be on roads or trails and MAYBE a few arroyos fulled with rocks, etc. can i get through this without any modifications? if mods are advisable, which ones? and, most important, since i'll be in mexico, which spares and extra parts would you guys carry with you at all times? any thoughts and suggestions appreciated. thanks.....TB

Dunno about your '95, but I feel comfortable taking my '04 anywhere I'd take any other SUV in the Mojave. I usually drag a utility trailer made fm an old pickup bed containing water, gas, tools, fluids, deep cycle battery (capable of jumping other vehicles), small compressed air tank, fire extinguisher, tall jack. In a box in the truck I keep a first aid kit, jumper cables, extra radiator hoses, serpentine belt, tools, water, a couple of MREs, a rechargable jumper/light/tire inflator, chem lights, flares, compass, signal mirror, binoculars, Colt 1911 A1, extra fuses, extra bulbs, tow strap, tire repair kit, foul weather gear, sunblock, maps, gps, cb radio, cell phone, extra aa and aaa batteries, fire extinguisher, dog treats, flashlights, air filter, cabin filter. That's about all that comes to mind right now.
