I have the Haynes manual for the 1998 4 Cyl Camry, I just changed my t-stat out, but I'm sure I have a ton of air in the cooling system from the t-stat swap. I see no bleeder valve on the t stat housing, and the Haynes manual only mentions bleeding the air out of a 6 cylinder engine. But how is this done on the 4 cylinder engine? Thanks guys!

WELL! First off I dont want you to think that what i am about to tell you is the absolute correct way but it worked for me on all my cars. My car was over heating a bit after i had to remove the radiator for some repairs. I believed i had air in the system as well. I just parked my car on the curbe in the front of my house,(the front end elevated). also if you have a steep drive way will work as long as the front end is higher should work. I took off my radiator cap off ( with the engine cool ) and let it idle for about 30 mins. At that time if you notice that your fluid level has dropped in the radiator, add more to it. I did this twice, took about and hour but at the end when i replaced the cap and drove it hasent over heated since. In short Doing this is pretty much "burping" your car. Try that and i am almost sur it will work.
