I will be renting a car in St. Louis this weekend and was wondering if I could rent a Prius. Does anyone know what company is renting them and how to request one?

Cheers,
Ben

My Toyota dealer rents cars for $30 a day (in DC) including their prius. I would reccommend calling a local toyota dealer to arrange it.

In some cities, such as Los Angeles, you can get them at some of the rental agencies at the airport.

I rented one in Portland, Oregon, but had to go to a Toyota dealer that did a rental business.

It's great that non-Prius owners are able to rent one and "give it a try", but if Priuses are in such demand (5 mo waiting list) how do dealers have enough on their lots that they can just rent them out? I thought they just had one for demo purposes.

Also, "avalpert2000", who is your dealer in the DC area that rents. I know some friends of mine who'd like to give it a try.

Bruce "HALF GAS"

I beleive they rent the TRAC car tehy ahve on hand, so you do have to reserve it, though everytime I have approached them it has been available. The dealer is Koons Toyota of North Arlington its located at 4045 Lee Highway in Arlington and the phone number is 703-522-6000.
They aren't the most knowledgable when it comes to the prius, but they didn't mess up the ordering process and my car, ordered january 15th should be here in two-four weeks as it was just assigned.
