i recently failed smog

i passed all the computer stuff but i failed the emissions part.

they want to charge me close to 1000 dollars to fix like 4 stuff but i dont have that kind of money


i paid $1,200 for the car and they want to charge me basically what i bought the car for

and im stuck with no car cuz my tags are expired


so now im a 22 year old getting a ride from my dad to go to work

he has to come to my house and take me to work.

this sucks


but luckily he is my boss




i just wanted to share this bad dilemma im in

WHat a nightmare. I feel for you.

Can't you ask the boss for a company car (IMG:style_emoticons/default/banana.gif)

Maybe a Toyota Camry 2009 would bring your company more busines (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

If you could post a list of what they claim needs to be replaced, someone here might be able to help you get your car street legal again. If they gave you an estimate, they must have scanned the computor for trouble codes and possible parts in need of replacement. $1000 for repairs might be a reasonable amount or it might be way too high. Give us some more information and help might be on the way. Hy

I just had another thought. Depending on the stae you live in and the mileage on the car, you MIGHT be exempt from spending that much money on emission repairs. So, where are you and how many miles are on the car? Hy
