I used to have the same problem; when you give it a lot of gas, the truck sputters and misses. I thought this was a ignition problem, but it turned out to be a head gasket problem. I eventually had to get the head gasket replaced. I even did compression check done on all cylinders, and it came back fine, but the gasket was bad. Have you had any problems with the truck losing coolant, or heating up? Check the coolant levels in the radiator and the overflow tank, and make sure that you're not blowing white smoke. It could be nothing to do with the head gasket, but that sounds similar to my problem, and just wanna make sure you dont ruin the engine.
