Hi I am looking for someone who owns a celica like me (4ws GT-R ST183) And I would like to meet up with them to compare cars and maybe race them. If youre interested email me and let me know. Also could let me know if your the registered owner of your car

perhaps i'm being a tad paranoid but this sounds really dodgy. Why are you interested in who the registered owner of a car is? Why do you want to race them? Where abouts are you?

If your car has been stolen, the police will check the DVLA computer for you if you provide them with the chasis code. Apart from that i cant see any reason why u need to know if they are the registered owner? enlighten us please :-) = = = Original message = = = My thoughts exactly ! ?

OMG I have jst realized how dodgy I have made this sound. I passed my test a month ago and the car belongs to my brother who is the registered owner of it and I just wanted to know if everybody is the registered owner of their car and how important it is to be. Ive just made the last payment and the car is officially mine now but is it a major necessatie that i register the car in my name? Soz to sound dodgy

LOL I owned my car for a year before I did the change of ownership, it got me off a court appearance for a missing tax disc but the official owner had the police at his door a couple of times in the early hours of the mornign cos my car was parked in a dodgy area. The V5 lists the registered keeper not the actual owner. In the event of a claim the insurance company might get a bit stroppy if the details are wrong.
