Hey Everyone,

I have a 93 V6. My truck died yesterday. I turn the key, dashboard /radio lit up but there's nothing going to the engine. All I get is a buzzing "Plinko" type sound coming from the right hand side of the truck when I turn the key. I'm not mechanically inclined so I don't know if that's a tell-tale sign of a starter or bad ignition or what.

Any ideas on what the problem is and how to fix it?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

First, get the battery tested to make sure it's still good. If that's good then I would say it's the starter, but from the sounds of it, it might be a bad starter or worn starter contacts.

Most of the time, it's a loose or corroded connection on the battery. A little cleaning up with baking soda and a wire brush and it should be good.
