Well Ryan, The only other real difference between the 89-90 and 91-92 is the emblem on the front. The 89-90 has the red rectangular "Supra" Emblem and the 91-92 has the chrome "T" Toyota emblem. Also the factory wheels changed in 91 from the 10 fin aluminum wheels "which in my opinion are very ugly and look like hubcaps" to the 5-star aluminum wheels which are much more modern and attractive. If you find a car with more than 80,00 mi. on it, you may want to make sure the timing belt has been replaced, and especially if it is a turbo, have the head re-torqued to deter the notorious blown head gasket that is unfortunately so common in these cars. Other things to check are: smoke when you first start the car usually indicates worn valve seals and although bothersome, isn't really too big a deal. The turbo may or may not need a rebuild soon, unfortunately the life expectancy isn't very predictable without first hand knowledge of the previous owners'/'s driving habits. If the car has a turbo timer, the expected life will be much greater. If not, make sure to let the car idle for a few minutes before you turn it off. Other than that, the Supra is a very reliable and enjoyable car to own and I wish you the best of luck! If you need anything else, let us know, Dave Grayzanic Supra List Administrator
