I bought an '08 Limited when they were going for full price and paid $51,000 OTD. It's a 2WD with nav and RSE.

Ups: HUGE. CAVERNOUS. POWERFUL. supple ride, tight turning radius, solid with no creaks and rattles, 2nd row reclines and even slides forward for easy entry to 3rd row, 2nd row leg room is ginormous, 3rd row reclines also and full size adults are comfortable back there when 2nd row scoots up a little, 2nd and 3rd rows fold flat (3rd row via power), tailgate is powered...

Downs: 7.5 quarts of oil?! w/a cartridge filter?? And you have to remove some of the under body work to access the drain plug and filter. Just pay to get oil changes done. Doing it yourself is a chore! Gas mileage?????? I get 10 mpg if I drive only city. I'm talking about stop and go every quarter mile and no freeways. If I drive freeway conservatively I can get 17 mpg on a regular basis. When I drive in rural cities with long stretches of roads between stop lights, I get about 13 mpg. There's mpg indicator but I hate looking at it. The nav screen always defaults to the map whenever you start the vehicle. I hardly ever use the nav so it's annoying. Why can't it stay on my radio station where I left it? Or maybe it can... Gotta talk to Toyota about it.

Anyways.. if you can afford the gas, go for it. It's the best full size SUV on the market hands down. This coming from a guy that drove a 2002 GMC Yukon for 6 years. When GM changed their chassis a couple of years ago, I was really disappointed that the 2nd row still didn't recline and the 3rd row still had to be removed. So I went with the Toyota. I wasn't expecting such refinement either. After all, these guys make Lexus.

Now to go buy a Yaris for a grocery getter...
