Toyota Forums _ Toyota Sequoia Forum _ 2002 Sequoia A/c Indicator Light Blinking

Posted by: jessematt Mar 27 2008, 08:51 PM

My wife's '02 Sequoia A/C button has a light on it. Yesterday the light started to blink and didn't provide cool air. Could this be the A/C relay that has gone bad? And if so, how expensive is it to fix?

Thanks!

The light blinking is because the AC computer detected an error. Could be anything. Don't know what it is until a shop looks at it.

Thanks! That is what I figured. I just dread the follow-on phone call from them telling me beside the relay needing fixed, the computer says I need a new "JOHNSON ROD", or something else.

Problem diagnosed...A/C compressor failure. Metal shavings throughout the system. $3800 quote from dealership.
