Hello,

I just bought a used toyota tacoma(1999 SR5 V6) and I am setting it up as a hunting rig.....I just got done mounting a CB radio in it and when I plugged it in to the acc outlet it didn't turn on which I found odd.....Well after reading the sticker near the outlets I figured out that they only power when the key ignition is on ACC power........This is terribly inconvenient for me as I use the CB most when I am parked and the truck is off. Is there anyway to by pass this power option? Is there a way to make it like most other trucks and have the outlets power when the truck is completely off (keys out etc.)....I know my B2500 Mazda would run the CB with the keys out etc.

Thanks for the help!

-Curt

P.S. Same goes for the cig lighter as well....

Turn the key one click to the ACC position.

It you want it on with the keys out of the truck, then you will have to wire it direct to the battery.
