Why in England do the main dealers charge £250 that is $500 to replace a key!!

I know the true cost should be approx£70 maximum.

I have purchased 7 new Toyota's over the years but this has really p---ed me off.

I in fact got it done privately but it still cost £170.

If anyone from Toyota's is reading this come be fair!!

In my business I know if I rip people off and they feel cheated they will go elsewhere.

it's because the unlock/lock buttons are attached to the keys. other companies such as jeep and VW also charge these crazy amounts for replacement keys! it's crazy!
