Hi, as you can see I'm new to the forums but I think that I have a unique problem.

1993 Toyota Tercel LS, manual

It first started at a slow shaky idle.
Then it became that it would just stall from time to time.
Next I started to fix stuff on it, changed the transmission oil, muffler, catalytic converter, spark plugs (two of them would always be covered in oil when i took them out).
They seemed to help out the situation one by one, but the problem continued.
Now i just changed a long overdue air filter, and now my idle is not so slow.

But now its just that when I'm idling and i give it a shot of gas (push and let go Quickly) it slows below idle speed and then speeds back up to idle. Sometimes it even stalls when it slows down.
It only really happens when the car is hot, I live in canada and its getting cold now.

THanks

Have some one check the idle air control valve to make sure it's not dirty as well as the butterfly valve. The throttle position sensor maybe on the fritz as well too. Is the check engine light on?

Thanks for the reply.

My check engine light is not on but when it slows down the oil lamp thing turns on and flashes as if it does not know if it should be on or off. I think thats for the oil pressure right? my transmission oil and engine oil is topped. I will check it out when I can get my car in a cold state cause i drive often. Oh I also have injector cleaner in the gas tank if that helps.
