We have a 2007 Sequoia that was purchased new in 5/2007...we only have 3,600 miles and had never changed the oil...the dealer recommends changing the oil every 5K miles....is there a time limitation as well?? I have never been in this situation before...having purchased a new car and not using it....we also have a Chrysler T&C Lxi and a Ford Taurus that we use on a reguals basis....the Sequoia had to be jump started because the battery went dead from the lack of use...Now I use it to goto the convenience store to pick up milk & eggs

Thanks for letting me share...

I would changed the oil every 3 months or so. Since you don't drive it as often as you should, the oil doesn't get up to normal operating temperature and thus will gather moisture, not good for your oil or engine. That way you'll keep your engine nice and happy. In addition, don't keep you tank topped off too, gasoline will start to deteriorate after 60 days or so. Gas does get bad like food after time.

Thank you Humanoid...I will certainly get it done right away...I hope that I didn't cause any damage thus far...Do you know if the synthetic oils contain as much moisture as the regular oils?? Just wondering if I should switch over and only change the oild 2x's per year as recommended every 15,000 miles per Mobile?...what do you think and/or recommend??

In your case, I believe that synth won't do any real good, even with longer drain intervals, it'll be just a waste of money. Just use regular dino oil and change it every 3 months or so and I think you'll be OK. Synth will still absorb moisture IMO.
