I have a 2000 Toyota Avalon XLS, which I purchased in 2001. Soon after purchase I had Error 3 and 6 msgs. Since it was under warranty I took it back to the dealership and had it replaced. It started the Error 3 msg again a few months ago and when I went to eject Disc 1 it jammed the others. When I hit the eject button, none of the CDs eject. When I hit the load button it tells me changer is full (which is true). When I select "CD" button and hit eject and reverts to the "Radio". So I can only listen to my radio.

I read the blog about disconnecting my battery and did so. It "acted" like it wanted to reset but didn't. Went to the dealership and they told me $800!!! I don't think so...almost time to buy a new Toyota. I'd rather save that on a down payment.

Anymore suggestions? I like that JBL single disc idea but don't know if I'd be that lucky.

I havent had those codes before but a few units with jammed discs.
Only thing I can suggest is to find someone you know that is handy and remove the deck, take the top off it and and remove the jammed discs.

Well, the one in my 04 Avalon got stuck, I think from a CD-RW disc ( 6 cd JBLmodel) I sent it to a place in Longwood, Fl. They fixed it for 275.00 and shipped it back in about 6-7 days.Works great and I was pleased with the service. They work on a lot of different factory models apparently. link
