1992 Camry 2.2 Cylinder Head Knocking Noise, Knocking noise between Cylinder 1 and 2 Options

I have a 1992 Camry 2.2 Cylinder Head with a Knocking Noise.

I am thinking it is the Sprocket on the cam shaft that has a tensioner.

I changed the cylinder head, it was a swap. I tested the cylinder by pulling of each spark plug at a time but the noise is still there. Please Help!

I would expect that, if it were the cam sprocket, the noise would be centered at the end of the engine.

Is it a cyclic noise, or does it come and go?

Was the noise there before you changed the head?

Have you measured the compression pressure in each cylinder?

Does the engine run OK otherwise?

No, I have not done a compression test as yet but I will tomorrow.

The noise is only at low RPM at 2-3000 rpm it stops. After the car warms up it stops too!

I did notice the sprocket is between 1 and 2 (where the sprocket is). Is there some kind of spring where the sprocket is?

No, there was no noise before I changed the head.
