HI there!
I have a 1999 Lexus ES 300 and it is great!!! I need to get some touch up paint. The color is Vintage Red Pearl. It's one of those two-tone cars. I bought it used back in October. The PO gave me a small tube of touch up paint that he blobbed all over the the hood to cover paint chips. I really wish he had not done this. The paint appears to be darker, like the lower part of the trim of this car. However when I look up the paint to buy, it shows this tube-3N6. The sticker on the tube looks dark and the paint inside looks dark too. My question is--did this paint just get old and darken with age OR is this paint possibly meant to be for the lower trim and he used it on the upper parts of the car?
I want to stop by the Lexus dealership and ask them, but I know I'll get disrespected since this is a 10 year old car.

I really want to find a tube of touch up for the top part of my car. I'm afraid if I order another tube of 3N6 it's gonna be the same "shade-to-dark" color.

any thoughts?
~Christy
