Inspected my front brakes pads (2006 HiHy) at 64000 km (~ 40000 miles) and noted there this less than 25% of the inner front pads left. I was a little surprised that I would be into a front brake pad replacement soon on a hybrid.

My wife drives the HiHy most of the time and she does tend to be heavy on the brakes (more so then myself, but not as bad as some other people I know). This may not be that surprising given the HiHy is a relatively heavier vehicle than say a Prius and may require more use of the friction brakes given the regenerative braking can only ultimately accommodate a give amount braking force for a given amount of weight (i.e. more weight, more friction brake use required)

What type of mileage are other people getting on their HiHy brakes?

Thanks,

VUR
