When I use my turn signal to turn left, it sometimes fast blinks. If I jiggle the control it sometimes seems to catch and I get a normal turn signal. It appears to be a problem in the control inside the steering colum.

I may be way off, but it Sounds like it could be a flasher relay going bad-- I've never changed one on a Corolla, but I've changed a couple in the past, the ones I changed were situated under the dash adjacent to the steering column, barrel shaped, and silver in color-I'm no mechanic, but I hope this may help you troubleshoot.

Thanks for the suggestion. Tried that but did not help. I think the problem is in the turn signal switch itself. If you move it carefully, sometimes you make it work properly.
Anyone know how complicated it is to repair or replace this part?

I have a problem, about a week ago my turn signals stopped blinking. The light would just stay on, even when I turned on my hazards. The lights would just be on, not blinking. Now, about a week later and the lights won't even turn on. I have checked the fuses and they are fine. Anyone have any suggestions? I have a 99 Corolla.
