Hi to all, this is my first post (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer.gif) I am from Portugal and I own a 1989 Toyota Corolla XL E90, engine 2E, 1.3Liter.

I want to check the valve clearance of the engine, but I don't know what is the proper procedure to do it. I know what should be the valve clearances but I don't know what valves should I check when engine is at TDC1 and so on....

Any one knows what should be the right order to check the valve clearances on this engine? I can't seem to find it any where on the web.

Also if you guys know where to get a repair manual of the car or the engine I would be very appreciated (IMG:style_emoticons/default/s12.gif)

The 2E settings are :
Inlets - 0.20mm (0.008 thou)
Exhausts - 0.20mm (0.008 thou)
Clearances should be set when engine is HOT

There You go mate (IMG:style_emoticons/default/s12.gif)

If you need any other info on 2E engine Just Ask

Thanx (IMG:style_emoticons/default/liebe011.gif)

What is the right order to check the clearance, do you have a diagram or drawing with the right procedure, that would be great.

Do you have the 2e manual in electronic format, or paper "format". It would be great if it was electronic format so you can get it to me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Once again, thank you a lot.

That's not that valve clearance that I am looking for. In the mean while I found a web page that describe the process of a similar engine(I guess), at least is a Toyota and also has 12 valve.
