Well, Just when I thought I had another reason to brag to my buddies about my Toyota...
When I first got word about the Toyota "satisfaction" campaign I was elated. I had my Tacoma inspected to get in ready for sale when it failed miserably because of the rusted frame. That's when the mechanic told me about the program. But now I'm told my Taco isn't covered because it was previously written off. Even though it was repaired by a certified shop and certified by government inspection, they say I'm not covered.

On the first call to Toyota Canada I got he "cookie cutter" response...we are sorry, we understand, it's our policy.... However the vehicle must be in operational condition with a current registration and insurance. pheeew! I called directly and told them that... to no avail.

I asked them to scale it up. So they sent my case to a mangers review board. Talked to the guy for 15 minutes making my arguments. He stuck to his guns and said it was policy.. blah blah blah. I told him I now have a beautiful truck that is worth nothing, not to mention probably unsafe.

I am now waiting to speak to the president of Toyota Canada.

Well see where that gets me.

Has anybody else had to deal with the rust / corrosion "campaign"? I just had my '97 fail so they have to buy it back, but I have a lot of questions. Please help!
