I know, I know.. it's a camry, a 4 cylinder at that, lol.
I drive 100 miles a day and I was just wondering if/any options to improve power/performance for this family commuter. I've heard of short ram intakes, exhaust, or just using synethetic oil and better grade gasoline. Are any of these valid? are there any small mods giving moderate improvements? Just seeing if there are any options other than a turbo, engine swap, or NOS. what are your thoughts?
I have an '05 Camry LE & I'm actually trying to find a performance exhaust system myself, but why don't you do a cold-air intake? That will increase the BHP by like 5-6 HP, it's not much, but you will feel it. Just make sure you find one w/a place to mount the air/flow sensor otherwise your check engine light will come on. If I'm not mistaken, you can also swap the ECU chip for a performance one, that typically will increase the performance & response time. I'll post more as I dig it up.
