Drives: 1992 Toyota Celica ST184R SX

I am planning on buying my first car and have found a good deal on a 1992 Celica ST184R SX, however i have heard from some people that they tend to have alot of problems. Is this true? and do you suggest buying it? would love to know what you think. thanks
