I have a problem with my Toyota pickup 1992 with 22RE engine. When I want to start this truck I press the clutch pedal and turn ignition key to the start position, and so the starter should crank the engine, but it doesn't. But when I first turn the ignition to the start position and then press the clutch pedal, the starter cranks the engine and the engine starts. My question is where is the problem?

Therre is a switch that wont let you crank the engine unless the clutch is pressed in. Id be looking at that.

There is no reason why the order should make a difference.
You could bypass the clutch interlock switch and see what happens, just make sure you are in Neutral when you start it.
