Hi guys. I have a 1994 Hiace LH113 Camper and I'm having trouble finding a towbar to fit it here in the UK. One problem is knowing if the LH113 chassis differs from other models (such as the H123) for which bars are available. Any ideas? As a matter of interest I am getting 28+ miles per gallon on a reasonable run.

Hi Zephyr, I'm so new to these vans that I'm not sure what that motor is. My LH113 has the 3L (2770 litre) diesel and an automatic gearbox. I've measured the fuel consumtion over two tank fills - early days yet though. I'll try and find a pic. I'm about to post about an electrical problem.

I had one fabricated and it is awesome. I've towed 3000lbs with it (albeit only a few hundred km). But the weakness is not the hitch, but the van at that point.
I posted on this earlier, if you want to look back at that discussion, I think others posted some websites of pre-fabs??? I told folks I would post pictures of mine, but time and memory have not conspired to let this happen yet...

28mpg is pretty good for one of these is yours the 2wheel drive.... I picked up a towbar from ebay.... just got to keep looking.... you should try asking stuff on here ... its more suited to your van... http://hiace-super-custom.free-boards.net
