Hey all

About 2 months ago the manual tranny started to get hard to shift. The thing that has me stymied is that its intermittent. The feel of the shifter can vary from stoplight to stoplight, really stiff at one and no effort at all at the next. Sometimes only a few gears are stiff, but not always the same ones. I thought maybe it was the cool weather, but it doesn't seem to be related. I'm thinking that something might need to be lubed or cleaned, but is it bushings, linkages or just new trans fluid?

I'd appreciate any thoughts.

Try changing out the tranny fluid and see if that solves it. Do you know if the bushings have been changed out before? If those bushings are the OEM rubber ones then they may be on their last legs.
