Soft Top Mr2 Leaking, Water leaking onto floor passenger side Options

I have a MR2 which is leaking water onto the floor behind the passenger side seat
There are no leaks in the soft top and the floor as no holes in it
I have found a plastic plug on the underside of the car and when this is removed water leaks out
I would appreciate if someone could respond to this problem as I feel rust could set in if the problem is not resolved

i also have one -remove your side air intake vents ,by the doors and lift the flap to drain out muck and retained water-

the water gushing around "the noise you hear" is in the luggage bin behind the door-soakup before it gets to your wiring underneath the bin
