Does anyone else drive their FJ in a cold weather climate, having to deal with snow, slush and ice?

My 2007 automatic FJ drives me nuts in these conditions because of the anti slip features. With even the smallest amount of snow or slush, the anti slip flashes and beeps around every small turn or with just about any amount of acceleration. Maybe I'm just used to driving in these conditions, and do not need the computer to adjust anything for me, but it's really frustrating. When the anti slip flashes there is a bit of a grinding/clicking noise and whatever it's doing messes up the ability to accelerate normally. I guess I could drive around in 4x4 all day to avoid this, but in those minimal slippery conditions, I don't think it's necessary.

Anyone else having these frustrations?

you do have the option of turning off the VSC by holding the button for 3 seconds. or when you put it in 4 wheel drive the vsc should turn off.
