I am just researching 3 codes I get with my Matrix to see if I could repair it myself or should take it to a dealer. I caught a rat trying to make a home in the engine compartment and started getting codes next day. I pretty much believe it chewed a hose or wire. I just want to know a good starting area. The codes I get are p0440, P0441 and P0446, all dealing with the vapor recovery system. I have 80k miles on the car and am taking to a dealer to have the clutch replaced tommorrow, I will buy a gas cap while I am there, just to eliminate the cheap fix. Any help would be much apreciated.
