Windshield Wipers Won't Turn Off! Options

I own a 2003 Toyota Tacoma. Over the past couple weeks, probably 2 or 3 times, my windshield wipers would randomly start wiping when they were set to off. I could easily just play with the controls and get them to stop. Just yesterday I tried to turn them on with too much wet snow on the windshield, and when they wouldn't budge I got out with them in the "on" position, wiped the snow away, and they started to work like. Now, they are stuck on the 2nd to highest speed and will not turn off (unless I pull the fuse, of course). They will go faster if set to the highest speed, but otherwise they are always running on the 2nd to highest speed. Any Ideas? Thanks!! -Brian

I had the same problem .I took it to my local mecanic he fixed it in a minute. look on the passenger side in the wheel well were the windshield washer pump there is 3 or 4 wires over there just look at that you must have a broken wire. hope that will help Paul
