Drives: Toyota Tacoma 2008 Double Cab

Next week I am going to pick up an 08 Tacoma Double Cab 4x4 ...


I had a couple of questions..


I wanted to get the Tacoma lifted 2.5 inches. Would that give me clearance for 33x12.50 tires?

also, I wanted to throw in some 18x9 XD Rockstars... would that set up work??


Thank you guys!



Also, I heard that Toyota will only warranty the tacomas up to 2.5 inch lift. is that true?

You'll need at least 3" of lift to fit those tires on. Not sure what you heard, but lift or not, Toyota will not honor the warranty if they deem that the lift has caused some sort of damage. Google Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act to see what I mean.
