I just test drove a 2005 Scion tC and loved it but the paint had some rust on the bumper. I am apprehensive to look any further into buying this car. As anyone had this problem with their Scion?

Um, how could a 2005 car have rust on the bumper..especially being plastic? Was this at a dealer?

Not particularly on a Scion, but have seen many plastic bumbers with rust. On that car it may be indicative of a hit, etc or a rusty mount.

Really? I would not think that it would be possible to get rust on plastic. I don't think it is very common.

It's possible it could be rust but I wouldnt be too worried. It's probably just surface rust.
