Tundra Towing Vs My Powerstroke Options

I own a 2001 Ford F350 Superduty with the 7.3l powerstroke and i use it to pull a 31' 5th wheel trailer that weights 10k dry. I have done some mods to my truck, tranny cooler, air intake, and exhaust and it pulls the trailer with no problems.

The other day i was talking with a Toyota rep about the tundra and he said the gas powered 5.8l would pull my trailer with no problems as well. he said he has a friend that pulls a 15k toy hauler all over the place with no issues.

Honestly that is kinda hard to believe.....

can i get some feed back as to what you guys experience pulling with these trucks. I love the looks of them and with diesel prices going up and as i only get 13 mpg in my truck i am wondering about getting something with better gas milage. im just worried that this truck will not be able to handle the 5th wheel.

My friend has an 07 Tundra 5.7. He hauled at 10K tool box plus 20 ft. trailer from Mississippi to Nebraska with no problems at all. Then he towed a 11K pull behind Camping Trailer with not a complaint from his truck. Obviously you have more HP and Torque, but I have never heard him complain once about hauling anything. I know that he can drive 400 miles between fill ups in the city... which breaks down to a little over 15 MPG city.
