I have and 83 celica gt with the 22re in it and have been looking for performance parts and rebuild parts, but was wondering if all 22re/r blocks are universal.

yea the engines are the same. ones carbed and ones EFI. LCEngineering.com is a great place to get performance parts for the 22r(2.4 ltr) motor. the best setup is to get a 20r(2.2 ltr) head (topend) and go from there. it creates alot more torque.
