gday took my hilux to the toyota shop and they said i need to have the injector pump looked at. when i rang the bloke said it may cost up to $1800 does anyone have any knowledge of wether its easy enough to look at yourself any suggestions would be much appreciated

Bad news mate. This is about standard. To rebuild an injector pump costs around $1300-$1600. New they are around $2500. Consider yourself lucky. Me and mate had to replace the one in his GU Patrol. You have to pull most of the engine apart to get to the bloody thing. Which means more $$ in labour
