Martin, the VRT rate on cars over 1900cc is 30% of the OMSP (open market selling price). A '91 gtr would probably be valued in the region of 2,500e. So 750e sounds about right. Pain in the ass, but what can you do ?????

The revenue.ie website has a link that allows you to check out the open market selling price of your car and you can put in details to get a specific price. My 92 gt-r was valued on that at something silly like €1200, so €750 does seem steep especially as they reassessed it after you had paid. >
