Hi all, First thing I need to know is what are the best spark plugs to use in a 18RG? Also I've had a recent loss of power and stumbling during acceleration. I assumed it was the fact that the points were virtually permanently fused and it appeared to be running a bit rich. So I had a major service done ( engine looked like it hadn't been serviced for over 12 months) but when I picked it up it was still hesitating at the normal pick up point (~3k RPM). I pulled the plugs when I got home and 3 seem fine a little sooty but with clean electrodes, but the #2 plug was sooty all over? Is this most likely oil getting into the cylinder now the oil system has had all the crap flushed out? The plugs that are in there now have shorter electrodes also. Look more like the plugs for a 18RC where the plugs that were in before had odd looking long electrodes. If anyone has some good or bad news for me bring it on I'm a big boy now. Cheers Glen RA28 (18RG) RA40 (3TGTE) RA40 (18RC)

Personally, I like the NGK W20EXU plugs that you can get for I think it was $1 each from Toyota. They usually have to order these and you can get them in a few days. Describe you 18RG setup more. thanks.
