I have an 05 Tacoma Prerunner. My two remotes no longer work. At one time, I was able to use one of them but not the other. I replaced the battery in the one that didn't work but the problem was not corrected. Finally, the second remote bailed on me. New batteries in both and still unable to work. At times when the remotes where working off and on, I had to keep hitting the unlock button over and over again and press down unusually hard on the botton. Some times it would work and others not. They finally both quit. Now I am down to using my key to lock and unlock. Being in sales and in and out of the truck, this causes way to much hassle for me. Any suggestions?

Maybe I'm just conservative, but anything dealing with remote keyless entries on any make of car, I have always defaulted to the Dealership. I'm just about to go to the dealership and pick up a spare remote keyless entry... I think they run something like 50 bucks. Take your vehicle with you, I think there is some magic that occurs, like when you have to sync up a new garage door opener to your garage door opening unit.
