My 2003 Corolla was involved in an accident on the passenger side. It was repaired and looks as good as new.

Since the accident, however, the keyless remote button unlocks all doors EXCEPT for the driver's side door. I have to use the actual key to lock and unlock the driver's side door.

I would appreciate any help on this. Thanks.

Hey there. It's pretty weird that the accident was on the passenger side, but the problem is on the driver side.

First question: Does either lock switch on the inside of the car unlock the driver side door?

If so, then I'm scratching my head and I'm sorry that I don't know (perhaps there's a relay somewhere that's gone bad?). If, however, the switches show the same behavior, the actuator has somehow become disconnected, possibly from a blown fuse or wiring problem. I'm not an expert - I'm just trying to use my common sense.

I'd check the fuse first. I can't recall if the lock fuse is in the pain-in-the-butt fuse box under the steering wheel, or the one under the hood. The manual lists all the fuse locations.

If that doesn't help you at all, I'm sorry. Good luck either way, though.

There might be something wrong with the mechanism in the lock on the drivers side...I would try to maybe see if something could be wrong with the frequency or maybe the lock keeps getting stuck and when you use the key it's enough to pop it....
