Hi,

While the 2008 Land Cruiser might have been voted number one in the large 4x4 category at the British Insurance Car Awards, my same model lacks some basic security features:

- it does not lock itself if I forget to lock the car and leave it with the remote-key on me

- it wont let me lock the car from outside while the key is on me and the engine is running (with the desert heat you'd want the a/c running while you make a quick dask to the convininent store; anyone could drive away the car and it will keep going even WITHOUT the remote-key not inside the car).

The local dealer has confirmed that this is how Toyota has originally configured the model.

Can anyone please confirm or state the contrary.
