My grandfather bought this truck new in 1985. When he purchased it ( Cheap as he was ) the only option was A/C. Shortly after he got it he got bad arthritis and with no power steering he could hardly drive it. He passed in 2002 and my dad got it with less than 8000 miles on it. It now has 25,000 miles on it and I think dad has got the new truck itch. I will buy it from him if he goes for a new one.

All that said I have started looking around for a small lift kit. (To know how much I need to hide from the "financial advisor") Nothing huge just something to fit a set of 31" tires under. I can't find anything for the 2WD models. Do you all have any suggestions. I am fairly mechanical, I lifted my own jeep; no cutting and welding though. I would like to be able to return it to stock if the need arose.

The ball joint spacers used to lift the 4WD IFS will work on the 2WD IFS.

For the rear you could use a longer shackle or blocks
