Hi,

I have an 89 toyota pickup standard cab. Wanted to get a little more lift in the front end. I already have a 4" susp. w/ 3" body lift. and custom 4" shackles in the rear (which prolly gives me about an extra 2") Is turning my torsion bars the answer?? If so, How is this done, and whats the turn-to-height ratio? Should I worry about rust on the bolt to turn the torsion bar? I need help??!! lol Thanks...

Cranking the t-bars is a way to get additional ride height, but it is not a good way.
What you gain in height you loose in travel in the opposite direction (you can't get something for nothing).
It will also make the ride harsh.

There is no formula for turns to height, it will vary depending on how much they are worn, how much weight on the front of the vehicle (winch, winch bumper, armor, etc).

FWIW, for your rear shackles to give you 2" of lift, they would need to be 4" longer than the stock shackles.

from what I've heard the T-bars barely give you and inch maybe two inches of lift, cause I have the same truck except ext cab.
