Hi, firstly can i just say im as chuffed as a rabbit with 2 cocks to find a decent and dedicated celica gtr site. im just about to take ownership of my third celica (although this will be my first gtr 4ws) and although having test driven it for a while the other day, the guy at the garage can't tell me what the little red button about an inch long, just to the left of the gearstick is for. its a 1990 G-reg automatic, and the writing is in japanese. the chap says he's not noticed any difference whether its been pushed or not. any ideas? cheers plug

It unlocks the gear lever with the ignition off so you can work on the car. i.e. put it in neutral to spin the wheels when jacked up.
