Actually, blinger, the fastest drag Supras all run GM powerglide auto trannys. Auto is better for drag racing because a good auto tranny will shift faster than you can. And by the way, calling people idiots isn't a good way to get your point across. Take it easy and let people ask questions without fear of being called stupid. Peace

Have you tried Autotrader.com? There's always a couple on there. Also, Ebay has a few as well. Good luck with your search. Just as an FYI, the 97-98's come with OBD-II, so it'll be a little harder(ie expensive) to keep it smog legal. The 93-96's don't have this problem. Just my $0.02

ya, sorry bout calling him an idiot. but no one is drag racing. also, you have a point, auto is better for people who cant shift at the right time. but if you are a por driver, it is a fact that stick is better. also, if someone doesnt know how to drive a stick, they should learn. personally i think it is more fun than auto.

I've driven both, well. Stick is better for hot rodding, and with a turbo it's really the only way to go because you can R'p up and get into the turbos.

But, if you're sitting in rush hour traffic a lot, it's a lot less to screw with. The Toyota programmable automatic is pretty good and a solid dependable unit that lasts a long time.

I bought the auto because I got a hell of a deal. Personally, i agree, if you buy a sports car, you should get the manual. Of course, next sports car I'll buy is an RX-7.

You shouldn't think anyone who doesn't drive a stick is a poor driver or can't use one.
