I had my cam belt changed about three weeks ago, and i have noticed a distict loss of power, esspecialy through the mid range. The engine also seems to be noisier?? Any Ideas? (The mechanic noited that my cluch was high and might need changing soon but i havent noticed any slipping.) Thanks Tom.

timing has been disturbed, ignitions components need refreshed or worst scenario - cam timing off a tooth or two.

this is a common prob on the n/a mr2's. its that bloody tricky to do the belt, its very easy to get it on one tooth out and it makes it really sluggish! i belted up a new engine before it went in and it still took 3 attempts on the workshop floor! nevermind in the car.
