I am looking for a place to learn about my Tacoma, gain some insights, and possibly pass on some of what I have come onto. I have an 02 Tacoma 4wd and have a question regarding the method of lubrication of the front axle flex joints. The inboard right boot has a small hole which is leaking oil. Are these joints lubed using front differential oil or are they sealed with a permenant lubracant

IIRC, they are supposed to be sealed, I would have the CV boot replaced.

CV joints are sealed. Check the boots for cracks. They are quite thick and hard to poke a hole in. Maybe an angry bee or something.
