Just replaced the brushes in the main motor but 4ws light still comes on. I followed the instruction to reset the brain by shorting the TC and E1 terminals, turn ignition on, 4ws light flashes 3 or 4 times, pause for about 1sec; then 2 flashes, then pause for about 3 sec; then start the cycle all over again and again (don't know or understand what this means). Pulled fuse out, replaced fuse after 10 seconds, turned ignition off, pulled bent paper clip out; but brain doesn't seem to reset. What am I doing wrong?

The relays are under the bonnet fixed onto a bracket on the passengers side wing. No pics of the 4ws motor/brushes cos everyone that's stripped them has forgotten to take photo's :( have a look at the 4ws stuff in the files section, there might be some more stuff on it.

Hi Thanks for the info. I found that to clear my alarm problems is to when ever the alarm comes on I switch off the car and gives the two relays at the passenger side of the engin compartment a tap and all seems to be ok for days. Our weather conditions here in Ireland does not allow me to open these areas for a proper clean up. Hope this will help some of you. Regards
