I am just starting out maintaining and repairing my 1989 Hiace 2.4 Petrol van. I am guessing there is a decent amount of accumulated knowledge and experience in the minds of the users of this forum! Is there anyone who would like to share general tips, knowledge and experience of maintaining a Hiace or similar?

I bought my Hiace with an oil leak and a dodgy sounding exhaust. So far I have replaced a flange gasket, oil level indicator gasket plus a broken dipstick tube after dumping 4L of new oil on my driveway. The journey is exciting, but I am loving each new thing I learn. Is there anyone out there on a similar journey?

Steve
