I've been afraid to put my vanity plate ideas for fear that someone else may grab them first! Fortunately I've got a few in mind "just in case" which the ca database (<a href=http://plates.ca.gov/search target=new>http://plates.ca.gov/search</a>) show as available.

The customers are not allowed to pick up thier vehicles at port, although Toyota Port Employees love to give tours which believe it or not is very interesting. It's quite an operation. You must take delivery at a Toyota Franchised Dealer.

You don't have to have a car to get a set of CA ELP (aka vanity) plates. You can assign them to a car later.<br><br> arnold

As far as I know, you do have to turn in "old" plates to get new ones. I have my new Prius and am waiting for the dealer plates to turn in so I can get my vanity plates which I ordered 6 months ago and have been waiting for me for 3 months.
